The Marketing Planner helps you plan and manage all marketing activity for an event in one calendar, including emails, SMS, automations, data captures and external marketing activities.
Why use the Marketing Planner?
The calendar helps you see:
What marketing is planned
What has already been sent
What still needs to be created
How activity is spaced around the event
High-level performance of completed campaigns
Activities are displayed in the calendar by type, making it easier to see the full campaign timeline from announcement through to event day.
Tip: The Marketing Planner is designed for email planning and high-level visibility. Detailed campaign reporting remains available in the relevant Email, SMS and Data Capture reporting areas.
What can you create?
You can use the Marketing Planner to plan different activities across your event campaign:
š§ Email
Create an email draft directly from the calendar.
For example:
Event announcement
Presale announcement
Ticket reminder
Last-minute event reminder
Post-event follow-up
You can save emails as drafts and schedule them later.
š± SMS
Create SMS campaigns from the calendar to plan key communications.
For example:
Presale access
Ticket on-sale reminder
Event-day reminder
Last-minute ticket availability
āļø Automations
Create an automation to support your event campaign.
For example:
Follow up with contacts after they sign up
Send communications based on event activity
Automate reminders as the event approaches
š Data Capture
Plan and monitor data capture activity around your event.
For example:
Presale signup
Competition entry
Event registration
Collecting additional customer information
š Custom Activities
Add marketing activities that happen outside AudienceView Digital Marketing.
For example:

This gives your team one calendar view of the full event campaign, not just activity created within AudienceView.
