Select Your Planned Flight Location
Use the search bar to enter your flight location or
Drop a pin by tapping on the map to mark the exact location of interest. This pin will serve as the center point for your mission.
Adjusting Area Radius and Location
Once the pin is dropped, you can adjust the radius of the mission area using the slider provided.
Slide the control to increase or decrease the radius according to the coverage area required for your mission.
Ensure the radius adequately covers the target area while considering flight regulations and operational constraints.
You also move the entire radius by simply dragging the map so the radius covers your entire flight location.
You will see the address update once you move the radius.
Time and Date Selection:
Tap the date/time under Flight Info to access the date/time selector.
Once selected, tap "done" to apply the changes to the mission.
Duration Adjustment:
Tap the "1H" to the right of time/date to access the flight duration selector.
Once selected, tap "done" to apply the changes to the mission.
When determining the mission's duration, consider factors such as battery life, flight endurance, and data collection needs.
Flight Checklist
Before proceeding, review the flight checklist to ensure all necessary requirements are met.
Users can scroll the checklist or drag the menu up to see more advisories.
Continuing with the Mission:
Once you've completed the necessary setup steps and confirmed everything is in order, you can go ahead and create the mission.
Double-check the mission parameters to ensure accuracy before initiating the flight.
If you are planning a flight in controlled airspace and LAANC is available, select the continue button to proceed with the authorization process.
If you are planning a flight in Class G airspace (Uncontrolled) and do not overlap any restricted airspace, you can also select continue to finish creating your mission.
If the continue button is disabled and you cannot proceed, your planned mission most likely overlaps restricted airspace or an area where LAANC is unavailable.
