How to sync with Front Desk

To link your Front Desk practitioner calendar with Avaana, we'll follow these steps:

  1. Create a Calendar Link – We’ll generate a special link (iCal URL) from your Front Desk calendar.

  2. Connect to Google Calendar – We'll add this link to Google Calendar so it can read your practitioner's schedule.

  3. Sync with Avaana – Avaana will then use Google Calendar to check when your practitioner is available.

This setup ensures that Avaana always has the latest appointment availability from your Front Desk calendar. Please see steps below to get your iCalendar URL from Front Desk

Step 1

On the Appointment Book tab in System Information, enter the URL for your Front Desk Web Appointment Book (e.g. appointments.smartclinic.com.au/frontdesk). Your Web Appointment Book address generally includes the directory /frontdesk.

Step 2

On the Appointment Book tab of the Practitioner file, check Enable iCalendar for this practitioner. This will generate a URL, which we will add into your Google calendar. Click Email to send it to the practitioner, or Copy to Clipboard if you will be pasting it into another application on the same computer.
