Enabling WorkCover for a Practitioner

Follow the steps below to enable WorkCover bookings for a practitioner

Steps

  1. Go to Avaana (avaana.com.au). Navigate to Provider Log In, then enter your registered email address and password to access your account.

  2. Go to the Practitioners page in the left-hand menu and select the practitioner profile you want to enable WorkCover for.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the profile and toggle WorkCover Referrals to Enabled.

    Once WorkCover is enabled:

    • Select the appropriate Modality Type

    • Enter your SIRA number
      ⚠️ The status should show VALID or PARTIALLY VALID, which is acceptable. If it shows INVALID, please check the format of the SIRA number.

    • Choose the service delivery type
      ⚠️ We currently accept in-person appointments for physiotherapy only, and in-person or online appointments for psychology. Mobile services are not supported at this time.

  4. Once completed, click Save changes in the top-right corner.

  5. After enabling WorkCover, complete the following steps if you haven’t already:
    Managing a Practitioner Profile: Availability, Inactivity & Profile Deletion
    Complete / Update Your Practitioner Profile
