Trigger Settings

Trigger Settings allow you to configure how your team receives notifications for different events across your Baluu account. This helps ensure the right people are informed at the right time, through the channels you prefer.

Where to Find Trigger Settings

  1. Go to Notifications in the left-hand menu

  2. Select Triggers

Here, you’ll see a list of available notification triggers that you can customise.

What Are Notification Triggers?

Notification triggers are events that automatically send alerts to your team. Examples include:

  • Booking Confirmation – when a new booking is made

  • Basket Order Received – when a customer completes a basket order

  • Session Reminder – reminders before upcoming sessions

Each trigger can be enabled or disabled depending on your needs.

Enabling or Disabling Triggers

Each trigger includes a toggle switch:

  • Turn on to activate notifications for that event

  • Turn off to disable notifications

This gives you full control over which updates your team receives.

Choosing Who Receives Notifications

For each trigger, you can select who should be notified:

  • Owners & Managers – ideal for keeping leadership informed

  • Assigned Tutors – useful for ensuring instructors stay updated on their sessions

You can enable one or both groups depending on your workflow.

Selecting Notification Channels

You can also decide how notifications are delivered. Available channels include:

  • Email – sent directly to inboxes

  • In-App – notifications within the Baluu platform

  • SMS (coming soon)

  • WhatsApp & Push notifications (coming soon)

Simply toggle on the channels you’d like to use for each trigger.

Upcoming Triggers

Some triggers may appear as “Coming soon” or disabled. These include:

  • Booking cancelled by customer

  • Booking rescheduled by customer

  • Booking cancelled by business

  • Booking rescheduled by business

These features are currently in development and will be available soon.
