Managing Tickets & Pricing (Tickets V2)

Tickets V2 gives you more flexibility and control over how you sell tickets on Baluu.

Written by Ruta Jogminaite

You can create different ticket types, apply automatic discounts or surcharges, and add purchase rules to suit your business.

This is ideal for workshops, classes, camps, tours, attractions, events, memberships, and any business that needs more advanced pricing options.

What You Can Do with Tickets V2

With Tickets V2, you can:

  • Create multiple ticket types such as Adult, Child, VIP, Member, Group, or Early Bird

  • Apply discounts automatically based on booking behaviour

  • Increase pricing during busy periods

  • Restrict how tickets are purchased

  • Offer member-only pricing

  • Reward larger group bookings

  • Build more advanced pricing logic without needing custom code

Accessing Tickets V2

Go to:

Listings → Open Listing → Tickets V2

From here you can:

  • Add new tickets

  • Edit ticket names and prices

  • Add pricing rules

  • Add validation rules

  • Manage priorities and stacking behaviour

Add Ticket

Use Add Ticket to create a new ticket for your listing. You can choose a template or create one from scratch.

When creating a ticket, you can set:

  • Name and optional description

  • Charge type (Standard or Free)

  • Price

  • Pricing method (such as per person or flat per order)

  • Whether it takes up a spot in session capacity

  • Minimum and maximum quantity per order

  • VAT included

  • Booking policy

Add Specialised Pricing

Use Add Specialised Pricing to create more advanced ticket pricing models based on quantity, group size, promotions, or remaining availability.

These options are ideal when standard price modifications are not enough and you want more dynamic pricing behaviour.

In the Tickets section, click Add Specialised Pricing to choose from the available models.

Available options include:

Tiered Pricing

Use Tiered Pricing to set a starting price for a minimum number of tickets, then charge an additional amount for each extra ticket added.

This is ideal when pricing increases gradually based on quantity instead of using one fixed price per ticket.

You can configure:

  • Base price – starting total price

  • Min tickets – number of tickets included in the base price

  • Price per extra – cost for each additional ticket

  • Max tickets – optional maximum quantity

  • Priority and stackable settings

Example:

  • Base price = £40

  • Min tickets = 2

  • Price per extra = £15

Result:

  • 2 tickets = £40

  • 3 tickets = £55

  • 4 tickets = £70

  • 5 tickets = £85

Another example:

  • Base price = £100

  • Min tickets = 6

  • Price per extra = £12

Great for:

  • Group bookings

  • Family packages

  • Private sessions

  • Team activities

  • Flexible group pricing

Group Size Pricing

Use Group Size Pricing to charge a different fixed total price depending on how many tickets are booked.

This allows you to reward larger groups or create package pricing based on party size.

You can create multiple group size tiers by setting:

  • Min – minimum group size

  • Max – maximum group size

  • Price – total price for that group size

Use Add Tier to create additional pricing ranges.

Example:

  • 1 to 4 people = £40 total

  • 5 to 8 people = £70 total

  • 9 to 12 people = £95 total

This means the total booking price changes automatically depending on the number of tickets selected.

Another example:

Escape Room pricing:

  • 2 players = £50

  • 3 to 4 players = £70

  • 5 to 6 players = £90

Great for:

  • Escape rooms

  • Private classes

  • Family packages

  • Team activities

  • Party bookings

  • Group experiences

Buy One Get One (Cross-Ticket)

Use Buy One Get One to automatically discount one ticket when another selected ticket is purchased.

This is ideal for promotions where buying one ticket unlocks a free or discounted second ticket.

You can configure:

  • Trigger ticket – the ticket that activates the offer

  • Trigger qty – how many trigger tickets must be purchased

  • Discounted qty – how many tickets receive the discount

  • Discount type – percentage or fixed amount

  • Value – discount amount

  • Repeatable – whether the offer repeats for larger quantities

  • Priority and stackable settings

Example:

Buy 1 Adult ticket → Get 1 Child ticket free

Settings:

  • Trigger qty = 1

  • Discounted qty = 1

  • Discount type = 100%

Example:

Buy 2 Standard tickets → Get 1 Add-on ticket 50% off

If Repeatable is enabled:

  • Buy 2, get 1

  • Buy 4, get 2

  • Buy 6, get 3

Great for:

  • Family promotions

  • Free child ticket offers

  • Upselling ticket types

  • Seasonal promotions

  • Marketing campaigns

Capacity-Based Pricing

Use Capacity-Based Pricing to automatically change ticket prices as more spaces are sold.

This allows pricing to increase or change in stages based on demand and remaining availability.

You can create pricing tiers using:

  • Up to spot # – the number of tickets sold before the next tier begins

  • Price – ticket price for that tier

Use Add Tier to create multiple pricing levels.

Example:

  • Spots 1 to 10 = £15

  • Spots 11 to 20 = £20

  • Spots 21 to 30 = £25

This means earlier bookings get lower prices, while later bookings pay more as the session fills.

Another example:

Workshop with 12 spaces:

  • First 4 spots = £18

  • Next 4 spots = £22

  • Final 4 spots = £28

Great for:

  • High-demand events

  • Early booking incentives

  • Dynamic pricing

  • Limited capacity classes

  • Maximising revenue as spaces sell out

Validation Rules

Validation Rules control how tickets can be purchased.

Requires Another Ticket

Require one ticket to be purchased with another.

Example:

Child ticket requires Adult ticket.

Perfect for:

  • Family attractions

  • Events

  • Child supervision requirements

Requires Any of These Tickets

Allow a ticket only if another selected ticket exists.

Example:

VIP Add-on only available with Standard or Premium ticket.

Max Per Other Ticket

Limit quantity based on another ticket.

Example:

Maximum 2 child tickets per 1 adult ticket.

Cannot Combine With

Prevent incompatible ticket combinations.

Example:

VIP ticket cannot be purchased with Student ticket.

Min Per Order

Require minimum quantity.

Example:

Minimum 2 tickets per order.

Max Per Order

Limit total quantity.

Example:

Maximum 8 tickets per booking.

Useful for capacity control.

Buy in Multiples Of

Require customers to purchase tickets in fixed quantity multiples.

This validation rule controls how many tickets can be added to a booking and is useful when spaces must be sold in set group sizes.

Example:

If set to 4, customers can buy:

  • 4 tickets

  • 8 tickets

  • 12 tickets

Customers would not be able to buy:

  • 1 ticket

  • 2 tickets

  • 3 tickets

  • 5 tickets

Common uses:

  • Table bookings

  • Team games

  • Shared experiences

  • Family packages

  • Group seating

  • Equipment hire bundles

Available When Sold Out

Make a ticket available only after another ticket has sold out.

This validation rule is useful if you want to release extra spaces or alternative ticket types once your main ticket is no longer available.

Example:

An Overflow Ticket only appears after the Standard Ticket has sold out.

Common uses:

  • Extra capacity tickets

  • Waiting list replacements

  • Standing tickets after seated tickets sell out

  • Backup ticket options

  • Late release allocations

Session Bundle Eligibility

Use this validation rule with bundle products to require customers to select a minimum number of sessions within a chosen time period before they can purchase the ticket.

If the required number of sessions is not selected, the ticket will appear disabled during checkout.

Example:

Set minimum 4 sessions within 30 days

Customers must choose at least 4 eligible sessions within a 30-day period to unlock and purchase the bundle ticket.

Another example:

Set minimum 10 sessions within 3 months

Customers must select 10 sessions within that time window before checkout is allowed.

Common uses:

  • Class packs

  • Multi-session courses

  • Holiday camp bundles

  • Fitness memberships

  • Lesson packages

  • Recurring programme bookings

Priority

When multiple rules could apply, priority controls which one is evaluated first.

Higher numbers usually take precedence.

Example:

  • Member Discount priority 100

  • Early Bird priority 50

Member pricing would apply first.

Stackable With Other Discounts

Enable this setting if multiple rules should apply together.

Example:

Member discount 10%
Early Bird discount 10%

If stackable is enabled, both can apply.

If disabled, only one rule applies.
