Combine Price Modification Rules

Use Custom Modifications to combine multiple pricing conditions together using AND/OR logic and create advanced ticket pricing rules.

Written by Ruta Jogminaite

Price Modifications allow you to automatically increase, decrease, or override ticket pricing based on custom conditions such as session times, weekdays, booking behaviour, availability, and more.

The examples shown in the Tickets V2 collection articles are standalone pre-configured examples designed to demonstrate common pricing setups such as Peak Time Surcharge, Weekend Premium, Early Bird Discounts, and other pricing scenarios.

However, all pricing conditions can be customised and combined together within the same rule.

If you want to create a more advanced pricing setup, go to:

Add Price Modification → Custom Modification

Configure the Rule

Add a clear internal name for the rule.

Under Action, choose how the ticket price should change.

Type: Select one of the following:

  • Increase by %

  • Increase by fixed amount

  • Decrease by %

  • Decrease by fixed amount

  • Override price

Conditions section allows you to combine multiple conditions together using AND/OR logic.

For example, you can create a single pricing rule that:

  • increases ticket prices on Fridays
    AND

  • only applies between 6pm and 10pm
    AND

  • only works during a selected date range

Instead of creating multiple separate rules, you can combine multiple conditions together inside one Custom Modification.

Price Modification rules support conditions such as:

  • Minimum ticket quantity

  • Minimum number of sessions

  • Sessions within X days of each other

  • Consecutive weekly sessions

  • Recurring yearly date ranges

  • Booked at least X days before event

  • Booked within X hours of event

  • Session falls on specific days

  • Session falls within time range

  • Session falls within a date range

  • Session is on specific dates

  • Customer has specific tags

  • Customer has booked before

  • Customer’s first booking

  • Customer has X+ bookings in the last Y days

  • Customer came from a specific referral source

  • Session is under X% sold

  • Specific tickets are in the cart

  • Minimum cart spend amount

You can also control how pricing rules interact by using:

  • Stackable with other discounts

  • Priority order

If multiple conditions are added to the same group, all conditions must match for the rule to apply. Additional OR groups can be added to create alternative pricing scenarios.
