How to Change Ticket Prices for Future Fixed-Date Sessions Without Affecting Existing Dates

Written by Ruta Jogminaite

If you run fixed-date sessions and have already added your tickets and dates, you may sometimes need to change ticket from certain date onwards.

For example, you might want to:

  • Keep your current ticket prices for all existing dates

  • Add new ticket starting from a future date

  • Avoid changing tickets on sessions that are already live

The best way to do this is by adding new sessions from the future start date with updated ticket types.

How to Do It

1. Go to Your Listing

Open the listing you’d like to update.

2. Click Availability

This is where you manage all your session dates.

3. Click Add Session

You can either:

  • Handpick individual dates, or

  • Use a repeating pattern

For this example, we’ll use a pattern.

Choose:

  • The date the new schedule starts

  • How often it repeats

  • Which weekdays it runs on

This allows you to create all future sessions in one go.

5. Scroll Down to the Tickets Section

Click Add Ticket Type.

Create your new ticket as normal, including:

  • New ticket name

  • Updated price

  • Quantity available

Then click Create Ticket.

6. Adjust Old Ticket Availability

If your session capacity is 10 spaces, each ticket type may show 10 available by default.

To make sure only the new ticket can be booked:

  • Change the old ticket types to 0 available

  • Leave 10 available on the new ticket type

What Happens Next?

Starting from the future date you selected:

  • Only your new ticket price will be available to book

  • Old ticket types will appear sold out

  • Existing earlier sessions keep their original pricing
