Booking Cutoffs

Written by Ruta Jogminaite

If you want to prevent last-minute bookings, you can now set a booking cutoff to control how close to the session start time customers can make a booking.

This is particularly useful if you need time to prepare for your sessions, arrange equipment, prepare materials, or simply want to avoid last-minute bookings.

How Booking Cutoffs work

You can set a booking cutoff at two levels:

  • Account level – applies the cutoff across your account.

  • Listing level – set a specific cutoff for an individual listing.

For example, if you have sessions running throughout the week but need at least 24 hours' notice to prepare, you can set a 24-hour booking cutoff. Customers will no longer be able to book once the cutoff has been reached.

Account-wide Booking Cutoff

To set a default cutoff for your whole account:

  1. Go to Settings → Basket & Checkout.

  2. Find Booking Cutoff.

  3. Enable Close bookings before start.

  4. Enter the number of hours before the session starts that you want bookings to close.

  5. Save your changes.

You can access the account-wide setting here:

The account-wide setting is useful when you want the same booking rules to apply across all your sessions.

Setting a Listing-Level Booking Cutoff

You can also set a booking cutoff for an individual listing if you want to prevent customers from booking too close to the session start time.

How to set a listing-level cutoff

  1. Open the listing you want to update.

  2. Go to Pricing & Tickets.

  3. Find the ticket you want to update and click the three-dot menu.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Open the Policy tab.

  6. Find Sales cutoff.

  7. Enter the number of hours before the session starts that you want bookings to close.

  8. Click Save Changes.

For example, entering 24 hours means customers can no longer purchase that ticket within 24 hours of the session starting.

Multiple tickets

If your listing has multiple tickets, the sales cutoff is set per ticket.

Make sure you enable the cutoff for each ticket where you want the restriction to apply.

This gives you flexibility to have different booking rules for different ticket types within the same listing.
