Who this is for: All Barti users with eFax enabled. If eFax isn't active for your organization yet, see How do I enable eFax in Barti?.

Steps

  1. Navigate to a finalized patient exam.

  2. Click Create Letter at the top of the exam.

  3. Select Fax Letter. A form opens with the following fields:

    • Fax number — the recipient's fax number

    • Recipient name

    • Subject line

    • Additional notes (optional)

  4. Click Send Fax.

What you'll see when it works

A Fax sent successfully notification appears. The sent fax is saved to the patient's Patient Profile → Files for your records.

To review fax delivery status — whether the fax was delivered, failed, or is still sending — log in to the Kno2 dashboard at kno2.prod.barti.com and check the Release section.

Troubleshooting

The Fax Letter option isn't available.

Confirm that eFax is enabled for your organization and that your location has a fax number configured. If you're unsure, contact your admin or see How do I enable eFax in Barti?.

The exam isn't finalized — can I still send a fax?

The Create Letter option requires a finalized exam.

How do I check whether the fax was delivered?

Log in to kno2.prod.barti.com and go to Release. Each sent fax shows a status of Delivered, Failed, or Sending. See What's on the Kno2 dashboard? for a full overview of fax activity.
