Overview of the general global settings (Pro only)

Updated over a month ago

About

The general global settings of Timetable define how the plugin interacts with user profile fields and how completion conditions are visually represented. These settings apply to all courses using Timetable and allow for flexible customization of scheduling logic and progress visualization.

You can find these settings under Site administration > Plugins > Admin tools > Timetable > General.

Available settings

General

  • Reference date field

Select a custom user profile field to serve as the reference date for scheduling when configuring a relative date in the activity setup.

  • Track record factor

Select a custom user profile field to hold credit values for each user.

Note: The profile fields must already be created in the user settings. They should be configured as read-only for students to prevent manual edits. Refer to Moodle’s official documentation on user profile fields for more information.
