The general global settings for Dash define site-wide behaviors, such as how course images are handled, redirection for course indexes, and specific configurations for the learning path.
You can find these settings under Site administration > Plugins > Local plugins > Dash Addons > General settings.
Available settings
Course default image – Upload a placeholder image to be displayed as the course image for any course that does not have one.
Do not show category/course index – Redirect users automatically to the site home page or a custom URL when they attempt to access the standard Moodle course index.
Automatically restrict to current section – Enable this to automatically restrict a Dash block with the content addon to the current section when added to a single-section page.
Course redirect URL – Enter the specific URL where users should be redirected from the course index page.
Course shop URL – Choose the custom course field that determines where the smart course button links to if the user is not enrolled in the course and no enrollment is available.
Select course field for shape – Choose the custom course field that determines the shape of the course icon within the learning path.
Select course field for visual – Choose a custom course field of the "Select" type to determine which icon is displayed on the learning path when the visual option is used.
Note: Course fields for shape and visual are used in the learning path widget.
