About
The Course sections widget enhances course navigation by displaying sections and their activities in an intuitive accordion format. It provides a structured overview of the course content, allowing students to see their progress and access activities directly. The widget is designed to handle visibility automatically, ensuring that hidden sections remain invisible to students.
What is displayed?
A list of sections from the selected course. For each section, the following information is displayed:
Section title – Opens the activities inside the section when clicked.
Section description – Displayed under the title if a description has been provided. With Designer the section summary is displayed instead.
Activities – Links to all activities within each section for direct access.
Completion status – Indicates completed activities with a checkmark.
Estimated time – Displayed if the estimated time for the section is configured in Designer Pro.
Section type – Displayed if the section type for the section is configured in Designer Pro.
Note: If the general section (section 0) does not contain any activities, it is not displayed in the widget.
Available settings
In the widget preferences, the following options can be configured:
Courses – Select a specific course to display its sections.
Current course – Automatically display the sections of the course the block is placed in.
