Overview
Besty integrates with smart locks via Seam, allowing you to automate access code creation and delivery for guests. Once connected, Besty can display lock battery and connection status, and automatically generate unique codes per reservation.

How access codes are generated
By default, Besty generates access codes using the last 4 digits of the guest's phone number. These codes are created automatically for each reservation and are time-limited to the stay dates.
When are codes sent to guests?
Access codes are typically delivered to guests at noon on the check-in day, after the guest has signed their rental agreement. If a guest signs their rental agreement after noon, the code is sent immediately upon completion.

Setting up the smart lock integration
Contact your Besty support channel or account manager to enable the smart lock integration for your account.
Connect your lock brand through the Seam integration in your Besty settings.
Assign locks to their corresponding listings.
Besty will begin generating and tracking codes automatically for new reservations.
Monitoring lock status
From your Besty dashboard, you can view battery level and connection status for each connected lock. If a lock appears offline, check the device's Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection and battery before contacting support.
