How do AI Messaging and Autopilot work?
The AI Messaging settings control how Besty's AI communicates with guests.
Autopilot
Autopilot is Besty's AI messaging system. It only sends a message to a guest if it is 100% confident the response is correct. If it is 99% confident, it places a draft in that guest's inbox instead, since the response may be wrong — you then edit the draft or choose to send it.
Autopilot can run on all listings, a set of listings, or individual listings. You can also set when it's active, either 24/7 or within specific time frames.
Canned autoresponder
When Autopilot can't respond with 100% accuracy, a generic canned message can be sent to the guest instead.
You can also set a timed canned autoresponder that only sends a message you've written during certain hours — for example, messages sent outside your hours of operation.
AI Messaging settings
Includes the option to enable instant messaging.
Message signature
Choose whether to include signatures, for either email or non-email messages.
AI Messaging style
We usually recommend watching how Besty AI responds first, as it learns, and then setting up your AI messaging style from there.
You can set different AI styles for different listings, listing sets, or all listings except certain ones. Use this to change the tone and style — for example, making it formal or informal, or asking the AI to open with "Hey," "Hi," "Howdy," and so on.
