With the Simulation and Tour History views, you analyze parcel counts from two different perspectives: area-based (target) versus driver-based (actual).
1. Time Period: Single Day vs. Average
Both tables always refer to the time period you have selected at the top:
Single Day: You see the exact daily values.
Time Period (e.g., one week): You see the calculated daily average for that period.
2. Comparing the Tables
📊 Simulation (Target Values by Area)
This view shows you how many parcels were delivered within a specific area—regardless of who delivered them.
Example: If the table shows 120 parcels for Tour 1001, it means: A total of 120 parcels were assigned to the geographic area mapped to Tour 1001.
🚛 Tour History (Actual Values by Driver)
This view shows you how many parcels a specific driver actually delivered.
Example: If the table shows 120 parcels for Tour 1001, it means: The driver assigned to tour number 1001 personally delivered 120 parcels.
💡 Why Do the Numbers Sometimes Differ?
The most common reason for discrepancies between Simulation and Tour History is cross-area support:
When a specific area experiences high parcel volumes, drivers often assist each other. For example, if the driver from Tour 1002 takes over some parcels from the area of Tour 1001:
In the Simulation, these parcels are still credited to Area 1001.
In the Tour History, however, they are credited to Driver 1002.
