Tour Investigation Mode

The 'Compare to Sequence' and 'Investigate Tour' features are insightful analytical tools designed to give you a view of the routes taken by your drivers.

Let's begin with the section 'Compare to Sequence'.

Click on the "Open the first sequence" button on the right and the 1st sequence of the tour opens. If you want to check another sequence, then you can scroll down and click on the line graph to see the suggested route of that specific time.

The yellow dot indicates the very first sequence (after the driver left the depot) calculated on that day.

A red dot indicates a recalculation of the sequence triggered by the driver.

You can hover over specific points that you want to take a closer look at to see the status at that specific point in time.

  1. Tour KPIs: At the very top of the page, you see the general information about the first activity (first login of the day), last activity (last logout of the day), app activity (how long the app was used on the foreground on the phone), start time (last set up for this tour by the driver or automatically when driver leaves the depot) and end time (time when the last waypoint was closed). If the App Activity is less than 60 minutes in one day, then the KPI will be highlighted in red. In that case, it makes little sense to analyze the rest of the tour, as the app hasn't been used properly, this is the main problem and there is little data to look over.

You will also see the RTT-Category, average ETA/ATA deviation of that day, sequence fidelity and the amount of time frames on the tour that day. Click on the little arrow to see if the time frames are from the system or set by the driver themselves, and if they were missed or successful.

  2. Visual Route Replay: With the tour-driven map (left map), you can visually trace the path that the driver took, including each stop made along the route. This helps in verifying the efficiency of the route chosen by the driver and identifying any deviations from the sequence suggested by the app and understand what happened in the area of a certain parcel delivery (for e.g. parcel with a claim).

When comparing the driven sequence (left map) and the suggested sequence (right map) the colors of the waypoints indicate how much the route deviated for that specific waypoint.

A green waypoint indicates that a waypoint is closed close to the suggested order: so a good sequence fidelity.

A red one shows that this specific waypoint has been delivered much further from the suggested order. The numbers will tell you at which place in the sequence, the waypoint was initially planned.

You can see in green the areas where the driver followed the sequence, and in red the areas where they did not.

You can now compare both tours, to better understand driver behaviour and see where there is room for improvement.

  3. Waypoint Information: You can click every waypoint to receive a snapshot of the delivery details such as the address, the type and success status of the job performed, the delivery time and the set timeframe (if given).

When you hover over a waypoint in the left map, its position in the app-suggested sequence will be highlighted on the right map and vice-versa.

  4. Delivery Performance Metrics: The feature aggregates key performance indicators (KPIs) such as the number of pickups, collections, deliveries, total jobs, total waypoints, and the distance traveled. You can also see the device, the driver used.

  5. Device Activity Tracking: Device information, including the name, IMEI, Device-model, login number of the driver, and last login timestamp.

  6. Waypoint including a PIC or COL: In order to understand at one glance why the driver went back and forth on the road he drove (PIC and COL are often delivered at the end), waypoints including at least a PIC or a COL will have a specific icon.

  7. Waypoint including a parcel delivered to a parcel shop: In order to understand why it looks like the driver did not follow the sequence and also to understand the timestamp on certain waypoints, waypoints containing at least one parcel delivered to parcel shop have a dedicated badge.

  8. In the top right of the screen, you have the option to check the health status for the respective tour's depot. For more information on the health status, please visit this article.

The Investigate Tour tab switches your view to a detailed, list-based breakdown of the route side-by-side with the map. This allows for an in depth investigation of every stop to verify exactly when, where and in which order events occurred.

1. The Waypoint List On the left side of the screen, you will see the Waypoints list. This list mirrors the "Tour Details" view and provides full visibility into the driver's sequence:

  • Sequence Order: See exactly which waypoint was closed first, second, third, etc.

  • Timestamps: Every waypoint displays the exact "Closed at" time, allowing you to spot gaps or delays.

2. Job Details & Unsuccessful Outcomes For even more detail, you can interact directly with the job badges (e.g., DEL 1, COL 1) inside the list.

Clicking on a specific job badge opens a detailed pop-up window containing comprehensive data about that specific delivery or collection. This view includes:

  • Service & Tracking: Detailed service names and Track IDs.

  • Outcomes: A clear reason for any failed deliveries is displayed under the "Unsuccessful jobs type" column (e.g., "incorrect address").

  • Original Address: Verify the exact address data sent to the driver.
