Tour Details View

Written by Tahseen Saleem

The Tour Details View gives you a real-time look into driver tours by showing you the exact information your driver sees in the Bettermile app. It helps you track live progress and step in to help drivers if they fall behind schedule.

Key functions of the 'Tour Detailed View' include:

1. Real-Time Progress Tracking: You can track the progress of each tour in real time. The interface shows the number of completed waypoints, the total number of waypoints, and the overall progress percentage. It also shows the number of deliveries, collections, and pickups for each waypoint, along with the waypoint's status:

  • Two check marks mean the waypoint status is confirmed.

  • One check mark means the waypoint status is still processed.

2. Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA): This provides you with insights into the timing and efficiency of each tour. The system shows the start time and the ETA (time when the driver will most likely deliver the last parcel). The ETA in the BO (Back Office) may differ from the driver's app as the App shows the ETA to the final destination (home or depot).

3. Sequence Fidelity: This indicates how closely the driver follows the specified sequence suggested by the app, ensuring that the driver is following the planned route efficiently. The KPI receives real time updates - giving you the chance to reach out to your drivers if needed to improve their performance.

4. Address errors: Address errors can prevent drivers from successful delivery. These errors include incorrect address input and missing address components. If the Address is missing a house number the driver will still be navigated to the right street. In case of any other missing component such as city, postal code or Street name the waypoint won't be shown in the sequence because the data does not show where the waypoint is located.

5. Unsuccessful Jobs: The view also provides details on any unsuccessful jobs, such as refusals of acceptance, absent consignees and incorrect or not-found addresses.

6. Support and Intervention: This detailed view allows you to support drivers more effectively. For instance, if a driver is falling behind schedule( having a bad RTT category), you can identify the cause, provide assistance, or suggest route adjustments as necessary.

Focus on Out of Home

:info: Same behaviour in Tour driven history map (driven route) unless mentioned other wise

  • We display parcel shops and parcel lockers in the area, when the setting is enabled on the map.

  • Shops and lockers have distinct icons, and pins only appear once you zoom in past a certain level.

  • Clicking a pin opens a bubble with the shop's name, address, opening hours, and an "open now" indicator. The bubble also shows the distance from the driver's current live position (not available in Tour driven history)

  • On the map, waypoint markers where a parcel was actually handed over to a parcel shop (successful outcome, handed to shop) display a parcel-shop badge — the same badge used on Tour Driven History.

  • In the waypoint list, we flag a waypoint with a parcel shop icon when one of the jobs in this waypoint is delivered to a parcel shop

Waypoint including a parcel delivered to a parcel shop

Waypoints containing at least one parcel delivered to a parcel shop have a dedicated badge.

:warning: It does not mean that this delivery was meant to a parcel shop, it would be the case only if there is a parcel shop or locker icon on top, and that is it also indicated in the waypoint list with the parcel shop icon. When this badge stands alone, it usually means that deliveries on this waypoint were not meant to be going to the parcel shop.
