Step-by-Step Guide for Buddy Referral Program
Step 1: Access the Refer a Buddy Feature
Open the BetterYou app
Navigate to the Account tab (bottom navigation)
Scroll down to find the Action Menu section
Tap on "Refer a Buddy"
Step 2: Share Your Referral Link
On the Refer a Buddy screen, you'll see your unique referral link
You can share this link in several ways:
QR Code: Let friends scan the QR code with their phone camera
Copy Link: Tap the link field to copy it to your clipboard
Share Button: Use the native share button to send via any app
Step 3: Share with Friends
Share your referral link with friends using any preferred method:
WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat
Text messages or email
Social media platforms
Any other messaging app
Rewards Structure
BetterBolts Rewards
Instead of direct gift cards, you'll earn BetterBolts that can be redeemed for gift cards:
$5 Value in BetterBolts: Earn 5,000 BetterBolts when you refer your first friend
$5 Value in BetterBolts: Earn 5,000 BetterBolts when you refer your second friend
$5 Value in BetterBolts: Earn 5,000 BetterBolts when you refer your third friend
Total Potential: Up to $15 value in BetterBolts (15,000 BetterBolts)
How BetterBolts Work
1,000 BetterBolts = $1.00 in gift card value
BetterBolts are added to your account balance
You can redeem them anytime for digital gift cards

Important Requirements
Referral Validity
Organization Match: Referrals are only valid if the referred person is within the same organization that BetterYou is partnered with
New Users Only: Buddies must not be existing BetterYou members
Email Verification: The referred individual must sign up with their school/work email address
Sign-Up Requirements
Referred friends must use their school/work email address
This ensures they can participate in organization challenges
Personal email addresses may not qualify for the referral program

How to Redeem
Navigate to the Rewards tab in your app
Your BetterBolts balance will show your referral earnings
Tap "Redeem for Rewards"
Choose your desired amount (minimum 1,000 bolts = $1.00)
Receive your digital gift card via email
