Use your own courier account and choose courier services with Easyship
You can use your own courier contract with Beventi by linking that courier account to Easyship. You can also use Easyship Shipping Rules to prefer, limit, or exclude courier services before live rates are shown to buyers in Beventi.
Your courier account and service rules are managed in Easyship. Beventi connects to Easyship, not directly to the courier.
Before you start
You will need:
A production Easyship account connected to Beventi.
An active account with a courier supported by Easyship's Link Your Own Courier feature.
The account number, credentials, API keys, rate card, or other details requested by that courier.
An Easyship plan that supports the courier connection and Shipping Rules you want to use.
Supported couriers, setup requirements, activation times, and fees vary. Check your Easyship plan and your agreement with the courier before accepting live orders.
Connect your own courier account in Easyship
Sign in to your Easyship dashboard.
Open Couriers.
Find Your own courier accounts, then select Add new courier or Connect your own account.
Choose the country where your courier account is registered.
Select the courier you want to connect.
Enter the credentials and account details requested by Easyship.
Complete any courier authorisation or verification step.
Confirm that the courier account shows as connected or active in Easyship.
Some couriers activate immediately. Others may require Easyship or the courier to verify your account or load a rate card before rates and labels become available.
Easyship calls this feature Link Your Own Courier, or LYOC. Your negotiated rates and available services remain subject to your courier agreement.
Choose which courier services Easyship can offer
Use Easyship Shipping Rules when you want to control the courier services returned for a shipment.
In Easyship, open Shipping Rules, usually found under Automation.
Select Add Shipping Rule.
Choose when the rule should apply. For example, apply it to all shipments or only to a destination country, postcode, SKU, order weight, or order value.
Add one or more courier actions:
Prefer specified courier services places selected services ahead of other available options.
Only Use, where available, restricts the result to the selected courier services.
Exclude specified courier services removes services you do not want to offer.
Select couriers by can prioritise the cheapest, fastest, or best-value service.
Save and activate the rule.
If you have several rules, check their priority. Easyship applies higher-priority rules first when rules conflict.
A preferred or required courier must still be available for the parcel and route. If your rule allows only a service that cannot carry the shipment, Easyship may return no live rate.
For more detail, see Easyship's guides to Link Your Own Courier and automating shipments with Shipping Rules.
Connect Easyship to Beventi
If Easyship is not already connected:
In Beventi, open Integrations > Easyship.
Select Connect Easyship.
Connect the production Easyship account that contains your linked courier and Shipping Rules.
Complete the Easyship setup, including your ship-from address, packages, product measurements, and customs information where required.
Beventi uses the courier accounts, services, and rules available through the connected Easyship account. You do not enter your courier credentials in Beventi.
Turn on live rates and set delivery coverage
Open the order form or wholesale listing you want to configure.
Open Delivery or Shipping > Live rates.
Select Enable live rates.
Under Delivery coverage, choose one of the following:
Only selected countries offers live rates only to countries you choose in Beventi.
Let Easyship determine availability offers shipping when Easyship returns a live rate for the buyer's destination.
Select the package sizes that Easyship should use.
Save the setup.
Delivery coverage and courier selection are different settings. Only selected countries controls where you are willing to ship. Your Easyship Shipping Rules control which courier services can be returned within that coverage.
If a buyer's country is outside your selected delivery coverage, Beventi will not request an Easyship live rate for that destination. Saved backup rates do not extend the selected country list.
Test the complete setup
Test before publishing and after changing a courier account or Shipping Rule.
Open the order form or wholesale listing.
Open Delivery or Shipping > Live rates.
Select Test rates.
Build a basket that reflects a real order.
Enter a complete delivery address in each country you intend to serve.
Select Get rates.
Confirm that the expected courier and service names appear with sensible prices and delivery estimates.
Test several parcel sizes, weights, destinations, and product combinations. A courier may be available for one route or package but unavailable for another.
If the tester returns a saved backup rate, this does not confirm that your linked courier account or Shipping Rule is working. Review the diagnostics and your Easyship courier settings. Beventi does not use a backup rate to replace a genuine no-service result from Easyship.
What buyers and sellers see
Buyers see the live courier services returned by Easyship for their basket and address. The available choices can reflect your own courier rates and your Easyship Shipping Rules.
When the order is ready to fulfil, you can buy the selected label through Beventi using the connected Easyship account. Courier charges, Easyship usage fees, and billing arrangements depend on your Easyship plan and courier agreement.
FAQ
Does selecting countries in Beventi choose my couriers?
No. Delivery coverage controls where live rates may be offered. Connect and control courier services in Easyship.
Will buyers see only my linked courier account?
Not automatically. Easyship may return other available services unless your Shipping Rules exclude them or use an available Only Use option. Test the result in Beventi before publishing.
Can I use my negotiated courier rates?
Yes, when Easyship supports your courier and successfully links your account. The rates and services returned depend on your courier contract and Easyship setup.
What happens if my selected courier is unavailable?
Easyship may return another permitted service or no live rate, depending on your Shipping Rules. If you used Only Use, no alternative courier will be offered when the selected service is unavailable.
Does connecting my courier directly to Easyship connect it directly to Beventi?
No. Beventi continues to use your Easyship connection. Easyship manages the linked courier account and passes eligible services and rates to Beventi.
Where should I check a missing courier rate?
First run Test rates in Beventi with the exact basket and address. Then check the linked courier status, service availability, rule conditions, rule priority, parcel measurements, and destination in Easyship.
