Schedule people can include authors and vendors attending the event, as well as guests who do not have a Beventi profile.
Add people to an item
Open the schedule item.
Under Attending, search for the people taking part. Select an existing person or add a new person.
Under Hosts and MCs, select the people leading the session.
Set the host's role using the role control beside their name. Use a custom role label when needed.
Arrange the hosts in the intended display order, then save.
Review and publish the session changes.
A person's general role, such as Narrator, can differ from their role on one session, such as Host or Moderator.
Use a linked person or a custom person
When creating a person, you can link them to someone in the event's Attending list. Their profile photo and about text can then be used for the schedule.
For an external guest, create a person with their name and add a role, bio and photo as needed. They do not need a Beventi account just to be named in the program.
FAQ
Can someone host one session and attend another?
Yes. Choose their role on each item.
Does adding someone to a schedule item invite them or reserve a seat?
This records who appears in the program. It is separate from participant invitations and reader RSVPs.
Why is an author missing from the attending search?
Check the event's Attending list and the schedule People directory. If they are an external guest, add them as a custom person.
