Use place pins for helpful locations that are not schedule rooms, such as the coffee cart, entrance or information desk.
Add a place
Open the map with Manage Pins.
Choose Add a place, or click an empty spot on the map and name what is there.
Use a quick pick or enter your own name.
Click or tap the position and wait for Saved.
Quick picks include Entrance, Registration, Restrooms, Food, Parking, Stage, Info point and Accessible entrance. The quick pick supplies a name and symbol; you can change the name to suit the venue.
Place names can be up to 40 characters. A map supports up to 500 pins in total, including both rooms and places.
Edit a place
Select its pin or list entry to update the name or symbol, move it, or choose Remove place. Changes save automatically. Check the save status before closing the editor.
FAQ
Should I use a room or a place?
Use a room for a location selected by schedule sessions. Use a place for a useful point on the plan without that schedule connection.
Can I label a signing table with a person's name?
You can create a named place. It is a map label, not an automatic link to that person's profile, table booking or sessions.
Will adding a “Stage” place create a schedule room?
No. If sessions happen on that stage, create or select the schedule room and pin it as a room instead.
Can I work on pins before publishing?
Yes. Keep the map in draft until you are ready. On a live map, saved changes are available to readers who have access; they may need to reload or refresh.
