How to create a preorder form
A preorder form lets readers order your products before an event. You choose the products, prices, stock rules, fulfillment options, and payment settings before publishing.
Create the form
Sign in to the Beventi Seller Dashboard.
Open Events and select Create Order Form.
Search for the signing event by its title, nickname, or city. If the event is not listed and the option is available, create the event first.
Add the form's instructions, close date, and currency.
Select Create & Continue.
The close date controls when new orders stop. A separate payment deadline can control when an existing buyer must finish paying a balance.
Add products
Open the Products tab and select Add Products.
Choose the products to offer, or use Select All.
Select Add Selected.
Set the price, stock limit, and customer limit for each product where needed.
Apply the changes and save.
Check each product variant, price, and currency before publishing.
Configure deposits and payment plans
In Settings, turn on Allow deposits if buyers should be able to pay part of an eligible order upfront.
Open Deposits and payment plans to choose:
a percentage or fixed deposit
the minimum order value for deposit eligibility
the final payment deadline, time, and timezone
Keep and remind or Cancel after a grace period for unpaid orders
the deposit policy shown before checkout.
Eligible buyers can choose one remaining balance payment or three equal remaining payments. See Set up deposits and payment plans on an order form for the full setup and policy guidance.
Review other settings
Use Settings to review the form description, maximum order quantity, terms and conditions, close date, deposit settings, and visibility.
Turn on Private if the form should be available only through its direct link instead of appearing publicly on the event page and your Beventi profile.
Save the settings after making changes.
Publish the form
Select Publish.
Choose whether to publish now or schedule the form for later.
Confirm that the form appears in the intended place.
Test the public form and checkout before sharing it.
FAQ
Can I edit a published preorder form?
Absolutely, open the form and use its Products or Settings tabs to make changes. Changes to payment settings will affect the options shown for future checkouts. Existing orders will keep their own payment records and schedules.
What is the difference between the close date and payment deadline?
The close date stops new orders. The payment deadline is the final date and time by which an existing buyer must complete the remaining balance.
