How can I check the status of the vehicle from the FleetOS dashboard?

If you are receiving an 'overlapping with another schedule' error while trying to assign a driver to a vehicle or if you want to check the current status of the vehicle, follow the steps below:

Steps to Check Vehicle Status:

  1. Open the Vehicles tab: Navigate to the Vehicles tab from the main dashboard.
    ​

  2. Search for the vehicle: Use the search vehicle field and enter the vehicle's VIN number or brand name.

  3. View vehicle details: Click on the search result that appears to view all sections related to the vehicle, including:

    • All charging sessions

    • Total charging cost

    • Assignments

    • Location

    • Vehicle details

Resolving 'Overlapping with Another Schedule' Error:

The reason for this error is that the vehicle is already assigned to a different user. If you encounter an 'overlapping with another schedule' error while adding the vehicle, follow these steps:

  1. Enter vehicle details: Click on the vehicle to view detailed information.

  2. Check Assignments tab: Navigate to the Assignments tab to find out which driver the vehicle is currently assigned to.

  3. Stop inactive assignments: Identify and stop the assignment that is not in progress.

  4. Set assignment deadlines: If the assignment process has a deadline, set it from the details section.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage vehicle assignments and check the status of your fleet from the FleetOS dashboard.
