This guide explains how to enable ID verification in HubSpot and configure age-based identity validation.
This is typically used when members within a specific age range must be validated, for example when they are exempt from VAT.
Step 1 — Open System Settings
From the Dashboard, go to System Settings.
Scroll to the section called Member Account Requirements.
Step 2 — Enable ID Verification
Find the setting Require identity verification.
Enable (check) this option.
This activates ID validation for members.
Step 3 — Force Identity Validation
Enable Force identity verification.
This means:
All members within the selected age range must validate their identity
Members cannot continue without completing validation
Step 4 — Set ID Validation Fees
Configure the identity verification fees, if applicable.
Set the amount charged for ID validation.
This fee will apply when validation is required.
Step 5 — Set Age Range
Define the age interval where ID validation is required.
Example:
From age 18
To age 30
Only members within this age range will be required to validate their identity.
Why Use Age-Based ID Validation?
This setup is often used for members who are:
Exempt from VAT
Required to confirm their age and identity for legal or financial reasons
Step 6 — Save Settings
Save your changes.
ID verification is now active and enforced for the selected age group.
