What does it mean when I change a class template schedule?
When you update a class template schedule, the system will update all future classes based on the new setup. This means existing scheduled classes created from that template will be removed and replaced with new ones that match your changes.
Will my existing classes be deleted?
Yes. All previously generated classes from the template will be removed and recreated according to the updated schedule.
What happens in the system behind the scenes?
The system stops the existing schedule and creates a new one if needed.
This is especially relevant when changing key settings such as:
Time
Day of the week
In some cases, it may be better to stop the schedule completely and create a new one from scratch for full control.
Can I use this for temporary changes like holidays?
Yes. A common use case is during holiday periods (for example summer holidays).
You can:
Stop the original schedule
Run a temporary holiday schedule
Re-activate the original schedule after the period ends
What happens to registrations and staff shifts?
The system will try to preserve data where possible:
Registrations that match the exact time and duration will be moved to the new classes
Staff shifts that match exactly will also be transferred
Anything that does not match 1:1 will be removed
Will this affect members who are already booked?
Yes, it can affect existing bookings. That is why it is recommended to:
Make changes well in advance
Schedule changes for the future
Avoid changes that impact already booked classes unless necessary
Should I continue when I see the warning?
When you save, the changes are applied immediately and the previous schedule is replaced. Make sure you have reviewed the impact before continuing.
