Problem

A red error message is displayed next to a field or at the top of the page after attempting to save.

Possible cause

The server rejected your changes because one or more field values are invalid or missing. The error message typically includes a description of exactly which field has the problem and what is wrong with the value provided.

Solution

  1. Read the error message carefully – it usually describes the problem directly.

  2. Correct the indicated error and try saving again.

  3. If the error continues after correction, try reloading the page and entering the information again.
