How Can I Include/Exclude Specific Job Titles from My Search?

BookYourData narrows a search by job title using Include and Exclude boxes in the Job Titles tab, applied with Save and Search.

Written by Mark Giz

BookYourData separates job title filtering into two fields, Include and Exclude, inside the Job Titles tab of the search interface.

Include narrows results to the titles you list. Exclude removes contacts holding titles you don't want. Both apply together in the same search, and job title filtering is one of BookYourData's 100+ search filters.

How to Include or Exclude Job Titles

Set an include or exclude job title filter in five steps from the Job Titles tab.

  1. Open the Job Titles tab within the search interface.

  2. Locate the Search by Job Title section.

  3. Find the Include box for titles you want and the Exclude box for titles you want to omit.

  4. Enter one job title per line in the box that applies.

  5. Click Save and Search to update your results.

After you click Save and Search, results include only the job titles you listed in Include and exclude every contact matching a title in Exclude.
