How to Embed an Image into an Email
Overview
To embed an image in an individual email, an email template, or your email signature within your account, first you'll need to host your image on a website (ex. Post Images or your BoomTown site in your WordPress account under Media-- if you have permission to do so on your account).
Next, copy the URL for your image (if using Post Images, first click to Choose Images, and select the Direct Link option from those provided after the file is uploaded).
Paste the image URL in the below HTML code.
<img src="URL">
Once you have the HTML code created, it should look something like this (depending upon the source utilized):
<img src="https://s18.postimg.org/7xgt7m9q1/Email_Icon.png">;
Be sure to copy all the code, so you can paste it within an email or an email template as below.

How to Embed a Video Into an Email
To embed a YouTube video in an individual email, or an email template within your account, the best way to do this is to include a screenshot or still image of the video, and then link out to it from the email or email template. This is recommended because videos in emails tend to get flagged as spam at a very high rate, and this workaround should help prevent that!
Take a Screenshot
In order to get started, you'll first need to take a screenshot of your video.
To do this, open your video in YouTube (or other video hosting site) and use a snipping tool to capture a screenshot of your video.
Your computer may come with a snipping tool, or you can download Jing for easy screen capturing!
Create an Embed Code
Once you have the screenshot at the point in the video that you'd like to use, you'll need to host your screenshot image on a website (ex. Post Images or your BoomTown site in your WordPress account under Media-- if you have permission to do so on your account).
Next, copy the URL for your image (if using Post Images, first click to Choose Images, and select the Direct Link option from those provided after the file is uploaded).
Paste the image URL in the Image URL area in the below HTML code.
<a href="DESTINATION PAGE URL"><img src="IMAGE URL"></a>
Go back to the YouTube video, and copy the URL for the video, to paste in the Destination Page URL field in the same code.
<a href="DESTINATION PAGE URL"><img src="IMAGE URL"></a>
Once you have the HTML code created, it should look something like this (depending upon the source utilized):
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNf483sfBK4"><img src="https://www.cobblestonegroup.com/files/2018/07/Capture-2.jpg"></a>;
Be sure to copy all the code, so you can paste it within an email or an email template as below.

Linking Images in an Email
If you'd like to add a link to an image included in your email, first you'll want to ensure that the image is added to the email through the process above.
Once you have successfully embedded a photo into your email, it's easy to use that image as a link to an outside site or video.
Within the email you're working on, start by highlighting the image and clicking the chain link button above the email composition window.
In the pop-up window that displays, enter the URL in the Link URL field for the website you'd like to direct the client to from the image.
Other optional settings that you can adjust from this screen are the Target and Title for the URL.
The Target drop-down will specify whether you want the lead's browser to open your site in a new tab, or in the tab that they are currently working.
The Title is a small piece of text that the lead will see if they hover over your image. It should give them an indication as to what website they are about to visit.
Once you've selected your preferences, choose the Insert button, and you have successfully linked your image to an outside site or video!
