Custom Roles - Permissions List

Custom role permissions reference for LSC and Requestor admins: View, Manage, or None access for Appointments, Invoices, Accounts, Routing, and more.

Written by Quinn Bott

This reference lists the permissions you can configure when creating a custom role for Boostlingo Workspace admins. Use them to limit what a given administrator can reach in the platform.

Note: The permissions here are all available when creating an LSC Admin role. Permissions also available for Requestor Admin roles are marked with an asterisk (*).

Each permission is set to one of three access levels: View, Manage, or None.

Jump to a section: Appointments*, Invoices & Rates*, Company Profile*, Notifications, Accounts, Routing, Interpreters, Administrators*, Quick Dial*, Reports, Branding, Permissions, Zones, Recordings.

Appointments*

  • View: The Appointments tab and calendar are viewable and searchable. Create New Appointment is not available. Appointment details, including attached documents, are viewable. On the Dashboard, appointments that require action are visible but not editable (except appointments where the admin participates as an interpreter), and earnings and charts are visible. Scheduled logs are viewable. Appointment notifications and appointment-approval settings are viewable.

  • Manage: Everything in View, plus Create New Appointment is available, and the admin can edit, invite, approve, or deny interpreters and modify the workflow. Appointment notifications and appointment-approval settings are editable.

  • None: The Appointments tab is hidden. Appointment items that require action, earnings, and completed-appointment charts are hidden across the Dashboard, the account and interpreter details panels in Members, and Reports (you can't create or view Appointment Reports). Appointment notification settings and the Zones and Appointments tabs under Configuration>Company are hidden. The user can't be added as an interpreter, and the admin can't view their own appointment logs.

Invoices & Rates*

  • View: Call charges show on the On Demand, Scheduled, and In Person logs. The appointment Rates tab is read-only. Account and Interpreter invoices are viewable, and the admin can edit their own invoices under My Invoices. Rate cards and schedules are viewable under Configuration>Billing>Rates. Invoice-number settings are viewable.

  • Manage: Everything in View, plus the appointment Rates tab is editable, interpreter and account invoices can be edited and sent, and invoice-number settings, rate cards, and schedules are editable.

  • None: Call charges are hidden on logs. The appointment Rates tab is hidden. Only My Invoices is viewable, and the Account and Interpreter invoice tabs are hidden. The Configuration>Billing section is hidden.

  • Manage: Configuration>Company>Communications is editable.

  • None: Configuration>Company>Communications is hidden.

Accounts

  • View: Configuration>Accounts and Members>Accounts are viewable, but the admin can't manage rates or quick dials and can't invite new accounts. Account rates and account invoices are viewable. Requestor and account names are viewable across logs, the appointment workflow, and notifications.

  • Manage: Everything in View, plus the admin can manage rates and quick dials, invite new accounts, and edit account rates and account invoices.

  • None: Configuration>Accounts and Members>Accounts are hidden. Account rates and account invoices are hidden, and the admin can't invite new accounts. Requestor and account names remain viewable across logs, the appointment workflow, and notifications.

Routing

  • View: Configuration>Company>Routing and Members>Account>Routing are viewable.

  • Manage: Both routing areas are editable.

  • None: Both routing areas are hidden, and routing options aren't accessible.

[Reviewer note] Confirm the Routing paths in BDS. The navigation reference places Routing under Configuration>Company>Customize>Routing, while this permission also governs the account Routing tab reached from Members>Accounts. Verify both paths before publishing.

Interpreters

  • View: Members>Interpreters is viewable. Permissions, call logs, rates, and invoices on an interpreter's profile are viewable. In the appointment workflow, the admin can't add or remove interpreters.

  • Manage: Everything in View, plus permissions, rates, and invoices are manageable (edit, send, approve, or deny), and the admin can add or remove interpreters in the appointment workflow.

  • None: The option is grayed out.

Administrators*

  • View: Members>Administrators is viewable. Permissions, call logs, and rates on an admin's profile are viewable. In the appointment workflow, the admin can't add or remove admin users as interpreters.

  • Manage: Everything in View, plus permissions and rates are manageable, admin users can be added or removed, and admin users can be added or removed as interpreters in the appointment workflow.

  • None: Members>Administrators is hidden, and admin users can't be added or removed as interpreters.

Quick Dial*

  • View: The Quick Dial tab is viewable under Configuration>Company, on the account page, and on user profiles.

  • Manage: The Quick Dial tab is configurable in all three places.
