Zones let LSC Administrators customize economic regions, most often to apply rates that differ from your system-level rates for clients in different territories. You can also use zones to group interpreters by region, which simplifies assigning appointments.
Create a zone
Gather the locations and regions each account needs. Navigate to Members>Accounts, select the account, and enter them under "Locations" on the "Info" tab of its details panel.
Note: Every location or region must be entered on an account, even if it repeats across accounts. An interpreter can belong to many regions.
Navigate to Configuration>Company>Zones.
Select "Add Zone." In the "Add Zone" pop-up, name the zone and, optionally, add a description.
Select "Create Zone."
Select the zone name in the list to open its details panel.
Select "Add Locations."
Select one or more locations from the list, then select "Add Chosen."
To add interpreters, select the "Interpreters" tab of the zone details panel and select "Add Interpreters."
Select one or more interpreters from the list, then select "Add Chosen."
Set zone rates
In the zone details panel, select the "Rates" tab. Here you can create specialized rate schedules (for example, weekends or holidays) and rate overrides for accounts and interpreters attached to the zone.
To create an override, select "Account" or "Interpreter" from the menu on the left.
Select the rate you want to override.
Check the "Override" box and configure the new rate.
Select "Create Override." The rate is now highlighted in red on the rate sheet.
Repeat this process to create zone rates for every account and interpreter type you need.
Use zones in appointments
Once a zone is established, you can filter available interpreters by zone when scheduling an appointment.
Open the "Overview" tab of the Appointment Viewer for a new or unassigned appointment.
Select "+Add" to add an interpreter, then go to the "Location" tab.
Select the "Zone" dropdown and choose the zone you want.
A list of available interpreters in that zone appears. Select the interpreter or interpreters you want to Broadcast or Quick Schedule.
Next steps and getting more help
If a zone rate or interpreter list isn't applying as expected, confirm the locations are entered on the account and attached to the zone. Then contact Boostlingo Support with the zone name and account name. If you're not sure how to reach Support, contact your Account Manager.
