Accepting Calls in Microsoft Teams

Written by Quinn Bott

Requestors can add interpreters directly to a Microsoft Teams call. This article covers how to join one as an interpreter.

Note: The meeting itself takes place in Microsoft Teams, a third-party application.

Join a Teams call

  1. A Teams call always shows Incoming Teams Call. Select Click to Answer to connect.

2. A new browser tab opens (it may take a few seconds to load).

3. Configure your Mic and Camera permissions, then select Start call.

4. You may see Waiting to be Admitted — the requestor needs to admit you. Don’t close the tab; wait on this screen until they add you.

5. Once admitted, you’ll see the other participants.

Note: Your call duration continues to be counted in the Boostlingo portal in the original tab — don’t close it.

For interpreters: if you can’t be admitted or the tab won’t load, let your LSC admin know and note the time of the call.
