General Refund Process
Bounce processes refunds for cancelled reservations back to the original payment method you used during booking or in Bounce credits under specific conditions mentioned later in this article.
Refund Policies Based on Cancellation Timing
The timing of your cancellation determines how your refund will be processed:
Cancellations made more than 1 hour before the scheduled drop-off time: - You are eligible for a full refund to your original payment method (e.g., your card). - This refund is initiated immediately.
Cancellations within 1 hour of the scheduled drop-off time: - Refunds are instead issued as Bounce credits.
Cancellations after your scheduled drop-off time: - no refund is issued.
How Refunds Appear on Your Bank Statement
Refunds processed through Bounce can show up on your financial records in two ways:
Standard Refund: - The refund appears as a credit back into your account after processing.
Reversal Refund: - Occasionally, Bounce processes refunds through a "reversal." In this case, the original charge will simply disappear from your bank statement instead of appearing as a separate refund transaction. It may look like the transaction never occurred.
If your refund was handled via reversal, your bank can confirm the process for you. Providing the System Trace Audit Number (STAN) from Bounce can assist your bank in tracking the refund.
Refunds Not Appearing Immediately
Even if a refund is processed immediately by Bounce, it might take a few business days to reflect in your bank account. This delay depends on your bank or payment provider’s internal processing times. If several days have passed and you do not see the refund:
