Schedule a game or meet

Schedule a head-to-head game or multi-team meet on your school's event calendar.

Scheduling an event puts a game or meet on your calendar and creates a Competition where results/stats can be entered. The Event is what shows up on your calendar. The Competition is the game or meet inside it, where scores go later.

Most competitions are 'head-to-head,' i.e. one host and one opponent, however some activities will have multiple schools participating, i.e. a multi-team meet. Bound will automatically determine whether the selected activity uses games or meets. After beginning setup, selecting baseball for example will open a new game, while cross-country will open a new meet.

Once an event is on your calendar, you can change who hosts and manually send contracts later. For manual contract management, see: Managing contracts.

Note: Scheduling events requires admin or manager access.

Schedule a head-to-head game

  1. Navigate to Events.

  2. Make sure you have the right year selected.

  3. Click on "Add Event"

  4. To schedule by School, click Add Event under 'School Competition Event.'

  5. Click on the + next to the activity.

  6. The event will default to your State, Association and the Season you are scheduling for, as well as set your school as the Home team.

  7. Click on the box under Away to select an opponent team.

  8. You must start typing for schools to appear. Select the opponent school once it appears.

  9. If you need to make changes to the home or opposing team, click Edit Team next to that team.

  10. You can easily swap who is home and who is away using the swap icon:

  11. Check Exhibition/Scrimmage, Conference/District/Division, or Neutral Site if any apply. Add an optional Caption (e.g., "Senior Night") for calendar context.

    • The Title will auto-generate based on the competing schools; captions are what you name the event.

  12. Select the Date, Start Time and End Time. Double-check these are accurate. If there are multiple sessions in this event, e.g. a TBD stepladder game later in the evening, click Add New Session. Set the data and times as before, and double check before continuing.

  13. Click Set Location(s).

  14. Your school's Venues will appear here. You can also search for and select a venue from another school.

  15. Venues may have multiple Spaces, e.g. multiple tennis courts. When you choose a venue, all spaces in that venue are selected. To choose a Space, click Choose Spaces next to that Venue.

  16. Select the event Host.

  17. Click Create Game. The event is created. You will be returned to the main scheduling page.

Schedule a multi-team meet

Meets don't have a single opponent; instead of picking one team, you add every school taking part.

  1. Complete steps 1 - 3 above.

  2. Once you reach the activity selection, find and select the meet-based sport.

  3. Enter the Event Title (e.g., "Conference Championships" or "Drake Relays"). Add an optional Caption and choose the Category from the dropdown.

  4. Set the Date, Start Time, End Time, and Location in the Sessions section.

  5. In the Participants section, your team is already listed. Use the Away / Home toggle to set your status, then use Search for Team to add every other school in the meet.

  6. Set the venue host in the Hosting section, add optional Tags, and click Create Meet.

Tip: Add as many schools as needed — each appears with its own Away/Home toggle. It's easiest to add all participants before creating the meet.
