Create or add non-competition events

Learn how to schedule single or bulk non-competition events, and how to add one to an existing event.

Note: Admin/assignor access is required for Event management.


Create a non-competition event

To schedule a single non-competition event like a practice, meeting, or team dinner:

  1. In your school dashboard, go to Events.

  2. In the Events page, click Add Event in the top right corner.

  3. Below 'Add Non-Competition Event,' click Add Event.

  4. Enter a Title and optional Caption. Choose the Category:

    • Scheduled Event: Meetings or team dinners, etc.

    • Practice: For practice sessions.

    • Leave Status as Active.

  5. Set the Date, End Date (if multi-day), Start Time, and End Time. Click Set Location(s) to add a venue.

  6. Toggle Show event each day if you want the event visible on every day of a date range.

  7. Toggle the Public visibility if you want the event on the school's public calendar. Add any Tags as needed.

  8. Scroll down to the Activities section. Check the boxes for any activities (Girls, Boys, Extracurriculars) and team levels that should be associated with this event, then click Save.

Bulk add non-competition events

Create multiple non-competition events at once:

  1. Events -> Add Event.

  2. On the New Event page, click + Create Events under Bulk Add Non-Competition Event.

  3. Enter a Title for the events. Use the calendar to click on each date you want to create an event for, and selected dates will be highlighted. Example:

  4. Check Recurring Weekly if these events repeat on the same day(s) each week.

  5. Set the Day Start Time and Day End Time.

  6. Optionally, set a Location and Event Tags. Toggle Show on School Public Calendar if needed.

  7. Click Add Event(s) to queue them up. Review the Queued Events list, then click Create Events to save them all.

Add a non-competition to a pre-exiting event

  1. In Events, click the green flag icon on the event, then click Add from the dropdown:

  2. Once the event window refreshes, click Add Non-competition.

  3. Complete the steps outlined in the sections above.


FAQ

Q: What's the difference between Scheduled Event and Practice?

  • Scheduled Event is for general non-competition activities (meetings, team dinners, photo days). Practice is specifically for practice sessions. This category helps with filtering and reporting.


​Q: Can I edit a non-competition event after creating it?

  • A: Yes. Go to Events, find the event on the calendar or list view, click it, and make your changes.
