We want to make signing into your Breathe account simple, fast, and super secure.

Our Single Sign-on (SSO) feature lets you use your existing, trusted work credentials from Google or Microsoft, so you never have to remember another unique password.

This is your "master key" for security. We delegate the protection to those major platforms, meaning your login benefits from their robust systems and two-step verification (MFA). It gives your valuable HR data the highest level of confidence.

The best part is the convenience: if you're already signed into your work email, this is your "easy button." You bypass the password step completely for an instant jump straight to your dashboard, making your daily routine smoother and more efficient.

Signing in with Google

STEP 1. Access the Login Page. Navigate to the Breathe login portal and locate the sign-in buttons below the standard login fields.

STEP 2. Initiate Google Sign-In. Click the "Sign in with Google" button. This action redirects your browser to Google’s secure authentication page.

STEP 3. Select/Enter Google Account. You will be prompted to choose your Google profile from the list, or enter the email address linked to your Google account.

Important: The email address you use for Google must precisely match the email address associated with your user profile in Breathe.

STEP 4. Google Authentication. If you are not already logged into Google in your current browser session, you will be prompted to enter your password and complete any Google Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). If you are already logged in, this step is skipped.

The Google Prompt is Google's most secure and convenient form of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). It turns your smartphone into a security key.

When you sign in, Google sends an instant notification to your linked mobile device asking, "Are you trying to sign in?" You simply tap "Yes" on your phone to verify your identity. This bypasses the need for codes, making the login process faster, simpler, and highly resistant to phishing.

STEP 5. Grant Permission (First Time Only). Google will ask you to confirm that you permit Breathe to view your basic profile information (Name, Email Address). Click "Allow" or "Continue" to confirm the link between the two systems. This is a one-time step.

STEP 6. Access Breathe. You will be automatically redirected back to the Breathe dashboard, securely logged in without entering your Breathe password.

Signing in with Microsoft

This process uses the secure Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) flow to verify your identity, common for businesses using Microsoft 365 or Outlook accounts.

STEP 1. Access the Login Page. Navigate to the Breathe login portal and locate the sign-in buttons.

STEP 2. Initiate Microsoft Sign-In. Click the "Sign in with Microsoft" button. This redirects your browser to Microsoft's secure sign-in platform.

STEP 3. Enter/Select Microsoft Account. Enter the email address linked to your Microsoft 365 or Outlook account.

Important: The email address you use for Microsoft must precisely match the email address associated with your user profile in Breathe

STEP 4. Microsoft Authentication. You will be prompted to enter your password and complete any Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requirements set by your organisation. If you are already authenticated with Microsoft 365 in your browser, this step is usually skipped.

Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a mandatory security check if your organisation (using Microsoft 365 or Entra ID) has enforced it. It ensures that anyone logging into Breathe via Microsoft is who they claim to be.

After entering your password, Microsoft will ask for a second verification factor. This is most commonly done via the Microsoft Authenticator app, which provides one of two simple methods:

  1. Approval Notification: You receive an instant push notification on your phone asking you to tap "Approve" (similar to a Google Prompt).

  2. Verification Code: You are prompted to enter a time-sensitive code generated by the app.

Both methods rely on "something you have" (your phone) to confirm the login before access is granted to your Breathe account.

STEP 5. Access Breathe. Microsoft securely confirms your identity to Breathe, and you are automatically returned to your dashboard, logged in instantly.

FAQ's

Q: Is using SSO more secure than using my Breathe password?

A: Yes, generally it is. By using Google or Microsoft, you are relying on their enterprise-grade security, which includes robust Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and fraud detection systems that enhance protection.

Q: Can I still sign in using my original Breathe password?

A: Absolutely. These SSO options are completely optional. You can always revert to using your standard Breathe email and password if you prefer.

Q: Why do I see an error saying my account is not found?

A: This happens because the email address you are using to sign in via Google or Microsoft does not precisely match the email address that is registered for your user profile in Breathe. You must ensure the emails are identical in both systems.

Q: Do I need to enter my password every time I use SSO?

A: No. If you have an active Google or Microsoft session in your browser, the system recognises it and grants instant access to Breathe without requiring you to re-enter your password.

Q: Does Breathe get access to my other emails or files when I use this method?

A: No, this is highly secure. When you grant permission, you are only allowing Breathe to verify your basic identity (Name and Email Address). Breathe has no access to your private documents, email content, or other personal services within your Google or Microsoft accounts.

Q: Is this feature available on the People Portal app?

A: No, not yet. SSO is currently only available via a browser login; however, we are currently exploring this for our People Portal mobile app.
