Statutory holidays are bank holidays that employees are entitled to without them being deducted from their accumulated allowance.

How statutory holidays work in Breathe

Here at Breathe we add statutory holidays to the system, so there's no need to go away and find them out - simply switch them on.

  • Any leave booked on a statutory holiday will not deduct any allowance

  • Statutory holidays are only available to view if the user on the calendar has them turned on and has an event present on the month filtered.

How do I turn these on for my people?

Within breathe you will need to switch on statutory holidays for each individual employee. You can do this easily by going to:
โ€‹
โ€‹Profile > More tab > Work pattern & leave allowances

PLEASE NOTE: National holidays are the only ones that are entered onto the system. The reason for this is because you are unable to specify a region for the holidays just a country.

Regional holidays or other types of statutory holidays will need to be managed using the 'Other Leave' function. This guide explains what this means

Need help with reflecting statutory holidays for part-time employees?

Can I view what statutory holidays have been added to Breathe?

You're not able to see these listed in the system but will show on the calendar for that relevant month against a user who has statutory holidays turned on.

All holidays are pulled from officeholidays.com should you need to check.

And that's it - you're done!
