We like to keep things simple. That’s why we’re giving you some useful tips on getting your people data into your Breathe account.

Tip 1. Download the latest template

We’re always working to make Breathe better and improve our user experience. This means we often release updated versions of the data import spreadsheet.

To ensure you’re always using the latest version, we advise you to download the

spreadsheet from Breathe each time before importing your data.

Tip 2. Format is important

It’s important that your data is in a format that Breathe understands. Here are some tips:

  • All dates need to be in DD/MM/YYYY, DD-MM-YYYY or DD.MM.YYYY format.

  • If you want to include your own options in any drop-down boxes within the template, you’ll need to amend these first in Breathe using Picklists.

Tip 3. Only the first 5 columns are needed

You’ll only need to populate the first 5 columns in the spreadsheet for a successful upload. So, if you’d rather not fill everything out in one go, you can upload the other details later on.

You can either use the template ‘Update existing employees’, or you can update these details manually. Or, why not get your people involved in adding some of their own data?

Tip 4. Assign in bulk

Did you know you can assign permissions, holiday allowances and working patterns in bulk?

Learn about our handy Bulk Assign feature here. It’s super simple.

Tip 5. Need a hand?

Hopefully, these 4 steps will help you get your data into Breathe quickly and easily.

However, if you do encounter any bumps in the road, please do get in touch.

Our team are here to help you.

Many thanks,

The Onboarding Team
