Assigning equipment to your team

A short guide to explain how to assign equipment to your people within Breathe.

Assigning equipment is super-simple to do.

Firstly, navigate to Configure > Settings > Modules and ensure the Equipment module is ticked.

Then head the person's Profile > More > Equipment. You should then see a page like this:

The only required information is the 'Item' field - it's up to you whether you populate the rest of the fields.

If you'd like to add in your own equipment types, HR users can easily do this by heading to Configure > Settings > Picklists > Equipment types > + (add new).

Once added, these equipment types will then display in the drop-down.

Who can assign equipment?

HR users can assign equipment to other users within Breathe.

Your people can view equipment assigned to them, but will not be able to assign their own equipment.

Line managers can assign equipment to their team, as long as the ‘view’ and ‘manage’ boxes under Equipment are ticked. This can be found within Configure > Settings > Change what line managers can see and do.
