This guide is for Admin, HR users and employees.

Use the equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) fields within Breathe to log important information about your employees' disabilities, ethnicities, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations.

Enabling the EDI module

The EDI module is enabled by default in your Breathe account. However, you have the flexibility to turn it on or off. Here's how:

Navigate to Configure > Settings > Modules > Included modules and ensure the EDI module is ticked.

Please note that for EDI fields to appear within people's profiles, you'll first need to customise them within your Picklist settings

Customising EDI fields

You can customise the EDI fields to suit your requirements. This includes creating custom options for disabilities, ethnicities, religious beliefs, and sexual orientations.

You'll need to add custom options for the fields to appear within people profiles.

Create custom options by going to Configure > Settings > Picklists > Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.

While there are default values assigned to the Ethnicity drop-down field, you can add new custom options to meet your needs.

Once EDI field options are in use and assigned to employees, they cannot be deleted.

Assigning EDI values to employees

EDI fields can be edited and managed against an employee by going to their profile > Personal > Edit > Edit EDI fields > update profile.

Please note: The ability to edit EDI fields is limited to Admin users, HR users and employees (for their own profiles).

Reporting on EDI values

EDI values included in employee records will be included within the Data Export Report.
