BridgeU Careers provides you with an opportunity to discover different careers and save any careers of interest.
BridgeU Careers is available to all students directly within your BridgeU account. You can find Careers by navigating to Prepare > Careers.
Careers that match your AchieveWorks assessments
If you have already taken your Self-Assessments and completed your Careers and Pathways report, any careers that you have allocated 3 stars to will automatically save the career to your Careers page for you to explore further.
Navigate to your Careers to see all 3-star-rated careers in the section of Careers that match your AchieveWorks assessments. Click on Learn More to see detailed information about each career.
After clicking on Learn More, the career details page will appear, where you can find comprehensive information such as:
Brief description about what the career is
Outlook and salary (US job market)
Routes into this career
What employers look for
A typical day in this role
Common Tasks
Common Activities
Similar Careers
Discover careers by industry
You can also use the Discover careers in...section to explore careers by industry sector. Click on a sector tile to reveal a list of careers to save or discover further.
For example, if we click on the Business Management and Administration card, it will display the list below. You can then click on a specific career name to access its detailed information page.
Your saved career interests
To save a career for future consideration, there are two ways to do so:
1. From the career list:
Simply click on the heart icon next to the career to mark it, and it will be saved.
2. From the career details page:
Find the career you are interested in, either from the Careers that match your AchieveWorks assessments or from the Discover careers in... section.
Click on the career name to go to its details page.
Then, click on the Add career button to save it.
The careers you save will appear under Your saved career interests. You can navigate back to the main Careers page at any time to review your saved careers. To access more detailed information about a saved career, simply click View Career.
