Important: SMS notifications can only be sent to clients, guides, and team members who have consented to receive them. Clients and guides either click to consent themselves or give you permission to check consent on their profile. Team members turn on SMS subscription in their own profile — you cannot do it on their behalf. Always confirm consent before enabling SMS.
Brindlechute allows you to send a variety of notifications via SMS across the Clients, Guides, and Team tabs. Click through each section in Notification Settings to view all available messages. For each notification, use the Send Via dropdown to choose Email, SMS, or Both.
How to Manage
Click your Organization name in the top-left corner to open Organization settings, then select Notifications.
Open the Client, Guide, or Team tab to see the notifications for that audience.
Under Send Via, choose whether to send by Email, SMS, or Both.
If the notification supports SMS, you’ll also see an option to Edit Template, where you can customize the SMS version of the message. To insert client, booking, or organization details into the text, see How to Use Automatic Fields in Emails and SMS.
Where Consent Is Given
Clients and guides — go into their profile, click Edit in the top right, and check the SMS box once consent is given.
Team members — each person checks SMS subscription on their own profile. Click your name in the bottom-left corner, select Profile, and check the box under Basic Information.
If SMS Isn’t Working
Check both of these — either one alone will stop the text from sending:
In Organization settings → Notifications, confirm Send Via is set to SMS or Both for that notification type.
Confirm the recipient has consented. Without consent, Brindlechute skips the text silently — no error appears, and the notification still shows as set to SMS.
