Meetup Details Changed Guide Notification

Assigned guides get one message when a trip day's meetup location, date, or time changes, with back-to-back edits grouped together.

How to Turn On, Turn Off, and Edit

This notification is off by default. Turn it on to start sending it.

  1. Click your Organization name in the top-left corner of the dashboard.

  2. Select Notifications, then open the Guide tab.

  3. Find Meetup Details Changed.

  4. Turn the notification on or off, click Edit template to change the wording, or use the Send via dropdown to choose Email, SMS, or both.

What Triggers It

Brindlechute sends a Meetup Details Changed message to every guide assigned to a trip day when that day's meetup location, date, or time changes. Guides also get it when the start time of their own trip changes.

When a booking moves to a different date, the guide on the new trip gets this message. The guide on the original trip gets a Trip Canceled Notice instead.

The message only sends once clients can already see that day's meetup details. That timing follows the Hide meetup location and time on client itinerary before trip? setting in Client settings:

  • Setting off — clients see meetup details as soon as they're on the booking, so any change after that notifies the assigned guides.

  • Setting on — the message only sends for changes made inside the number of days you entered. For example, if you entered 2, changes made within 2 days of the trip notify the guides, and earlier changes don't.

Several Edits Send One Message

If you make several quick edits in a row, such as changing the location and then the time, Brindlechute groups them into a single message instead of sending one for each change.

Who Receives It

Every guide assigned to that trip day. Clients on the trip get their own version of this message — see Meetup Details Changed Client Notification.
