Every trip picks up the default meetup location assigned to its experience. When one trip needs a different meeting spot—a road closure, a client meeting you somewhere closer, a section change—you can assign a different location to that trip alone without touching the experience default.
Use this when:
One trip needs a different meeting spot than the experience default
The experience has no default meetup location, and you want to add one for this trip only
Before you start
Meetup location isn't assigned while you create a booking. It comes from the experience's default meetup location, applied automatically each time that experience is booked. If no default is assigned to the experience, the trip starts with no meetup location—you can add one directly on the trip details page using the steps below. To set a default that applies to every future trip, see Assigning Meetup Locations to Experiences.
Assign a different meetup location to a trip
Go to the Trip Calendar and click the trip
In the window that opens, click View trip details in the lower right
On the trip details page, scroll to the bottom to Meetup location
Click it to open the meetup options
Choose a location from your saved list
You can also reach the trip details page from Bookings: open the booking, scroll to Itinerary builder, and click View trip on the trip row. Both routes land on the same page.
The experience default is labeled Default, with the full address below it. Google Maps opens directions to the meetup point.
Changing the location here affects only this trip. The experience default stays as it is for all other trips.
Meet-up time
Meet-up time works differently. You can set it while you create the booking, under the experience in Per-unit details → Time & duration, where you set how many hours the trip will take and the meet-up time. You can also edit it after the booking is created, on the trip details page.
