Managing payouts efficiently is essential for businesses using Bsport and Stripe Connect. As a Bsport client, your transactions are processed through Stripe, and payouts are sent based on a structured payout schedule. This guide explains:

How payouts work

Processing times for different payment methods

Payout schedules (daily, weekly, and monthly)

How refunds & disputes impact your payouts

How to track your payouts easily

🔹 1. How Do Stripe Payouts Work with Bsport?

When a customer pays for a service or membership at your business, the funds do not go directly to your bank account. Instead, they go through a Stripe Connect Account, which we manage on your behalf.

💡 Bsport handles all Stripe transactions and manages your payouts.

⚙️ The Payout Process:

1️⃣ Customer makes a payment (via credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA, etc.).

2️⃣ Funds are first received by your Stripe Connect Account.

3️⃣ After processing and verification, the funds are scheduled for payout.

4️⃣ Stripe transfers the payout to your bank account according to your payout schedule.

📌 Important: Your customers’ payments are NOT instantly available in your bank account. They must first go through Stripe’s processing period and payout delay (explained below).

⏳ 2. Payment Processing Time: SEPA vs. Credit Cards

💳 Credit Card Payments

Processed instantly

✔ Once the payment is processed, Stripe applies a payout delay for security and fraud prevention.

🏦 SEPA Direct Debit Payments

Take at least 3 working days to be validated

🔄 Available for payout only after processing is complete, subject to the Payout Delay.

💡 Example:

  • A SEPA payment made on Monday is completed by Thursday at the earliest.

  • A credit card payment made on Monday is processed instantly but available for payout only after the configured Payout Delay.

🚀 3. Understanding Payout Delay (T+3 Days Minimum)

Stripe applies a payout delay for security and fraud prevention on all online transactions. This means that a payment via credit card is available at least 3 days later, the same for SEPA payments, on top of the time needed for validation (as explained above).

Minimum delay: 3 days (this cannot be reduced).

✔ This delay ensures the payment is legitimate before being released.

✔ Even if you are on daily payouts, this delay still applies.

🚨 Even with daily payouts, you will not receive a same-day payout for transactions made that day!

📅 4. Choosing Your Payout Frequency

You can customize how often Stripe sends payouts to your bank:

Payout Frequency

How It Works

Best For

Daily Payouts

Funds that complete the payout delay are sent every day

High-volume businesses

Weekly Payouts

Payout is sent every Friday; funds arrive Monday

Most businesses

Monthly Payouts

You choose a specific day each month

Long-term cash flow planning

💡 Weekly payouts are the most common because they balance cash flow and processing time.

🔄 5. What Transactions Are Included in Your Payout?

A payout only includes transactions that have cleared Stripe’s processing time.

🗓️ Weekly Payouts - Example Breakdown

If your payout is scheduled for Monday, it will include:

  • Transactions made Thursday (last week) – Wednesday (this week)

  • Payout is sent Friday, arrives Monday

Transaction Date

Included in Payout?

Thursday (last week)

✅ Yes

Monday (this week)

✅ Yes

Friday (this week)

❌ No (Will be in next week’s payout)

💰 6. Refunds & Disputes: How They Impact Payouts

Refunds are deducted from your next payout automatically.

Disputes (chargebacks) are also deducted if lost.

If your balance becomes negative, Stripe will block future refunds until positive.

📌 Example: Refund Deduction

  • Expected Payout: 1,000€

  • Refund Issued: 300€

  • Final Payout: 700€

🚨 If your balance is negative, Stripe may withhold future payouts or require additional funds to cover the deficit.

📊 7. Tracking Your Payouts in the Bsport Dashboard

You can check what payments are included in a payout directly from your Bsport Back Office.

🛠️ How to Check Payout Details

1️⃣ Go to Settings → Bsport Subscription.

2️⃣ Find the list of payouts at the top.

3️⃣ Copy the reference number under the payout amount.

4️⃣ Go to Reporting → Payment.

5️⃣ In the filter section:

  • Click Year-to-Date.

  • Click Add a Quick Filter → Choose Transfer.

  • Paste the reference number.

This will show all transactions included in that payout.

🚨 If the reference number is missing, contact Bsport support.
