When a parent registers on the app, they are required to submit credit card details and a photo before being allowed to send a request, and they are prompted to add a biography and info about their children after sending their first request. They are also required to verify their mobile phone number via an SMS activation code before their account is activated.

It’s important to make clear though that Bubble is a marketplace connecting sitters and parents. We do not vet the parents on the platform, and ultimately it is totally your decision as to which jobs you want to take, and which you don’t.

When you receive a job request, the app will show you that parent’s profile, their reviews from other babysitters and the mutual friends you might have in common.

We appreciate that the sensibilities and preferences of babysitters when it comes to which jobs they want to accept can vary quite a lot – and we're here to help if you ever have any questions or concerns. It’s up to you to decide which jobs you want to apply for or not.
