What happens if another group books the property first?

This article explains what happens if another group books the property first.

Since properties on Buenro can have multiple groups interested at once, it’s possible that another group completes their booking before yours. Here’s what happens when that occurs.

1. First to Complete Wins the Booking

  • The first group to fill all spots and have payments captured gets the booking

  • Once confirmed, that group’s stay is locked in

  • All other pending groups for the same dates are automatically cancelled

2. What Happens to Your Group?

If your group was still pending:

  • Your payment authorisation is released

  • You are not charged

  • You’ll receive a notification in the app and via email

Your booking status will update to Cancelled – Booked by another group.

3. Can We Still Book the Property?

If your group wants to try again:

  • Search the property in Explore to see if it’s still available on other dates

  • Start a new group or join another open one

  • Your previous group will not be reinstated

4. Refunds and Credits

Since no payment was captured:

  • There is nothing to refund

  • Any used credits or promo codes will be returned to your account

5. What You Can Do Next

  • Browse other properties using filters

  • Create a new group for different dates

  • Invite your previous group members to join again

Buenro will help suggest alternate stays in the Explore tab.
