The Curator is the person who created your group and is responsible for managing it.
1. If the booking is pending (not yet confirmed)
Guests will be notified through the House Dashboard.
Any Guest can choose to accept the Curator role and take responsibility for the group.
Only one Guest can accept this role.
When accepting, you’ll see the Curator Terms & Conditions and responsibilities before confirming.
If no Guest accepts the role within 24 hours, the booking will be automatically cancelled.
2. If the booking is confirmed (after checkout)
Currently, the Curator role cannot be transferred once a booking is confirmed.
If the Curator cancels at this stage, the booking may be cancelled automatically for the whole group.
Guests will be notified if this happens.
3. How Guests are notified
A notification will appear in the House Dashboard.
Depending on your settings, you may also receive an email or push notification.
If you take over as Curator (pending only), you’ll see updated booking management tools in your House Dashboard.
4. Limitations
The Curator reassignment option is only available during the pending period (before confirmation).
Once confirmed, the booking cannot be reassigned — cancellation ends the booking for all.
If a booking is cancelled, any payment authorisations are released.
Tips if your Curator cancels
If the booking is pending, act quickly if you want to keep the trip alive — the 24h window is strict.
If you become the new Curator, review your responsibilities and keep communication clear with your group.
