What Happens After Installing from an Invite

When you install Buenro from an invite link, you’ll be taken straight to the group you were invited to.

From there, you’ll complete a few quick steps to confirm your profile and join the booking.


1. User is Prompted to Sign In or Create an Account

  • They’re brought directly into the app (via deep link or app store install flow)

  • If they’re not logged in, they’re asked to sign in or create an account

  • If they already have an account tied to the invite email/number, it connects automatically

2. They’re Redirected to the Group or Booking

  • If the invite link includes group context, they’re directed straight to the relevant group/trip

  • Otherwise, they land on a general Explore or Home screen

3. Possible Outcomes

✅ Invite is valid and group is open

User joins the group (or sees trip details)

🕒 Group is full or waitlisted

User gets placed on the waitlist

❌ Invalid/expired link

Error or fallback screen shown

🔐 App is invite-only or gated

They may see a Waitlist screen after signup


⚠️ Common Confusion Points

  • “Why am I on the waitlist?”
    Users expect immediate access but may not realise the group is full, restricted, or invite-only.

  • “I joined but don’t see the trip/group”
    Happens if the link wasn’t tied properly to their session or they signed up with a different email.


✅ Best Practice

If this is a recurring support topic, you can:

  • Include a Help Center article titled “I joined via invite – why am I on the waitlist?”

  • Make sure invite links include tracking or group metadata

  • Guide them to contact support via Intercom (or use Fin AI fallback)
