How do I invite others to join a booking?

Here’s how to invite and manage others effectively.

As the Curator of a Buenro group, one of your key responsibilities is inviting the right people to join. Buenro gives you tools to send in-app invites, share custom links, or invite directly via SMS/WhatsApp after syncing your contacts.


1. After You Curate a Property

Once you’ve chosen a property and tapped “Curate Group”, you’ll be taken to the House Dashboard — your hub for managing group members, invites, and visibility settings.


2. Ways to Invite Others

Option 1: Direct In-App Invite

  • Tap “Invite Friends” from the House Dashboard.

  • Search for users by name (if they’re already on Buenro).

  • Send the invite directly in-app.

Option 2: SMS/WhatsApp Invite (New)

  • Sync your phone contacts in the app.

  • Select friends who aren’t on Buenro yet.

  • They’ll receive an invite via SMS or WhatsApp (copy will match Buenro notifications).

Option 3: Share Invite Link

  • Select “Copy Invite Link” from the dashboard.

  • Share it via WhatsApp, SMS, email, or any messaging app.

  • Anyone with the link can join, depending on your group’s visibility settings.


3. Viewing Invites and Requests

What you see depends on your role:

  • If you are a Curator, you will see:

    • Invited – people you’ve invited.

    • Requested – people who want to join (if requests are enabled).

    • Joined – confirmed members.

  • If you are a Guest, you will see:

    • Joined – confirmed members.

    • Invited – if +1s are allowed (and you are not a +1 yourself).


4. Monitoring Who’s Joined

From the House Dashboard you can:

  • Member role (Curator, Guest, +1).

  • Invite state (Invited / Requested / Joined).

  • Payment status per participant (where applicable).

  • Profile photo and display name.

Remember the Curator is your main point of contact for the stay


5. Key Considerations

  • Your booking must be confirmed for the trip to go ahead. This can happen in two ways:

    1. All rooms are filled within 7 days.

    2. Cover payment – one Guest or the Curator pays the remaining cost.

  • If the booking does not confirm, it will be automatically cancelled and any payment holds released.

  • You will not be charged until the group is full or covered and confirmed.
